After your SmartBoard deck has been finished it is advisable to give it a quick wash down with water. just to remove any dirt or dust from the process of building the deck.
Darker coloured composite decking does better at hiding the day to day build-up of dirt, but staining from oil or fat dropped from food eaten on the deck will show up more prominently. It is relatively simple process to clean and remove fatty stains from your wood plastic composite decking. Just give it a good clean with washing up liquid and hot water. The sooner you can clean the affected area the better as it will make it easier to remove the stain.
A pressure washer can also be used to clean the surface of the composite deck. Please take care when doing so, if you place the lance too close to the deck boards you could damage or alter the look of the decking. Always test a small area of the deck first, preferably in the least conspicuous spot. Then leave it to fully dry and check its ok before moving on to cleaning the whole deck.
