Deks Olje D1 Hardwood Saturating Oil Properties • Can be applied to both horizontal or vertical surfaces. • Saturates and protects all woods – Soft and Hard; Oily and Dense. • Excellent penetration – non-film forming. • Replaces the natural oils lost from the wood – will not blacken the timber . • Transparent – Enhances the woods natural grain. • Deep penetrating, stabilises the timber - Protects against moisture ingress. • Easy maintenance - no sanding or stripping. • Used alone, gives a silken matt finish or overcoat with Deks OLJE D2 for a high gloss finish Where to use • Hardwoods and Tropical Timber : Oak, Chestnut, Teak, Mahogany, Movingui, Ipe, Bangkirai ... • Softwoods : Pine, Spruce, Larch ... • Exterior : garden furniture, patios, walkways, boat decks, topsides on boats, portals ... • Interior : flooring, paneling, stairs, doors, windows, door frames ... • Marine : Can be applied above or below the waterline. Excellent primer for conventional single pack marine coatings. • Horizontal - Vertical. Application • Apply a coat of D.1 - Allow to penetrate for 15-30 minutes. • Apply a second application. Allow to penetrate for 15-30 minutes. • Repeat this procedure until the wood is saturated i.e. will accept no more oil. • Once the timber is saturated, always brush out or wipe up any excess product that has not penetrated to avoid shiny spots. • Do not allow D1 to become touch dry or dry between coats (apply "wet on wet"). • Refer to the packaging for maintenance procedure. Destination • Soft or hardwoods: Cedar, Larch, Pine (pressure treated or not), Ash, Oak ... • Can be applied to both horizontal surfaces (decks, walkways ,...) and vertical surfaces (cladding, shingles, fences...) and other exterior wood structures • Do not use on new wood - use SEASONITE Application • Apply an application of TEXTROL and allow to penetrate for 15-30 minutes. • Apply a second application and allow to penetrate for 15-30 minutes. • Repeat this procedure until the wood is saturated i.e. will accept no more oil. • Do not allow TEXTROL to become touch dry or dry between coats (apply "wet on wet"). • Once the timber is saturated, always brush out or wipe up any excess product that has not penetrated to avoid shiny spots. • The appearance of TEXTROL gradually lightens over time due to exposure to the sun and UV rays. Seasonite New Wood Protection Properties • Stabilises and protects the wood during its first 12 months of weathering. • Penetrates the wood and protects it from excess moisture. Allows wood pores to open naturally. • Minimises any splitting, cracking, warping and cupping due to the damaging effects of the sun and rain. • Colourless treatment. Easy to use. • Minimises the greying & weathering process - prepares the wood for recoating. • After 6-12 months of weathering, Seasonite provides a sound surface for paint, wood stain or other finishes to be applied to. Where to use • Ideal for softwood (Pine, Spruce, Cedar…) and especially for pressure-treated wood. • Vertical or horizontal surfaces. • Use on garden decks, shakes, shingles, cladding, fencing, unfinished outdoor furniture in Pine, Spruce, Cedar or other softwoods. • Apply a generous coat to all dry wood surfaces before or after installation. • Do not apply to weathered wood. Application • Wood should be clean, dry to touch and free from all stains. • Shake well before use. Do not dilute. • Apply one liberal coat of Seasonite to all wood surfaces with a brush, roller or garden sprayer. • Ensure Seasonite flows in between the boards and that all end grains are well saturated. If dipping shakes or shingles, soak for 10 min then allow the excess to drain. • If desired, after 6 to 12 months of weathering, clean with NET-TROL, and finish with TEXTROL or SOLID COLOR STAIN. • Refer to packaging for full user instructions.
